A SKVADER

A Skvader was an exhibition and series of talks organised by arts agency Kaavous-Bhoyroo and artist-led gallery OUTPOST at Norwich Castle Museum and Art Gallery to celebrate the centenary of the Contemporary Art Society. For the exhibition Raven Row director Alex Sainsbury and artist Lawence Leaman selected a range of art works from the Castle’s encyclopaedic collection along with contemporary wrk by Nowrich based artists Coco Crampton, Simon Liddiment and Robert Filby. The Polished agate has been temporarily exchanged with Artefact III’, African ebony inlaid with malachite and reclaimed ivory, 2010’, by artist Zoe Williams, whose work is on show in the Timothy Taylor Gallery as part of A Skvader. The original item from this display case can be viewed alongside Williams’ other work within the exhibition.
